in Pakistan there is no democracy, there is feudal dictatorship there is no government, but there is one puppetmaster and many puppets.
after 1948, in the history of Pakistan only the lawyers of the country stood up against the dictatorship and when they discovered that more and more people were joining inthe political parties with their own agendas successfully hijacked the lawyers movement. None of them were interested in the independence of judiciary and that included the late Benazir Bhutto and Mr Nawaz Sharief. But none of the were sincere in their utterances. The present democracy is nothing more than a joke and I would hope and pray that the lawyers would once again come forward and help the nation to get rid of these carpetbaggers.
Some of your readers might remember, that here in Australia the two major political parties did not get a majority in their own right and had to rely on for independent members of Parliament to form a government. All four of them wanted the major parties to spell out their policies and have the costed and proven to them. They named their price for their support, which was not for their personal gain but for their particular constituencies. Whereas in the Islamic Republic it is not the case.
As a nation we have no right to call ourselves Islamic. We want our politicians to be treated differently even in prison. At present to Queensland ministers are in jail for corruption, one chief of police had served his sentence and has been released from prison. They were not given any special treatment, they were treated like ordinary criminals, which they were. This happened in Australia which is not an Islamic country. We should think about it, do we have the right to call a self Islamic?

Agree with Akram Malik. Pakistan is a feudal dictatorship and the public has not grasped the facts so far. Unless the people develop awareness there can be no meaningful democracy and Pakistan will be in the clutches of klepto and megalomaniac dictators and politicians. In 64 years these people have systematically destroyed Pakistan and stripped its assets and still the people of Pakistan have not raised any real concern!!! What is wrong with this nation? ARE THEY IN A COMA???

Our political masters do not know the meaning of accountability, they only know how to blackmail, defraud, intimidate and manipulate the government agencies. The unfortunate part is that the entire machinery of government is in full swing to protect one man and one man alone. The chief executive is no more than a mere puppet who carries out his masters wishes. The biggest joke of this century was the 18th Amendment and the fanfare that went with it. It was a hoax and the Parliament is not supreme it is subservient to the wishes of president Zardar($$$$$).
You have quoted what happened in Papua New Guinea and I would like to add one more example. The case of the former president of Israel. While he was still the president he was investigated for certain criminal offences, he had to resign, he was charged and convicted. He would serve his sentence like any other criminal. This is what I call Justice. Not what is happening in Pakistan. The Pres, the PM and his home Minister should all be tried for obstructing the course of justice.
its truth and agreed with your remarks thanks to informe us for such infromation
