You have given only 2 choices either ghulam or jamadar which is not correct..Pkaistan can lead a respectful dignified way even without american aid.and surely that will not be life of jamadar but much better than that.american aid helped only a tiny elite and masses did not got anything out of it.

America and our media says America gave us 10 billion US dollars as aid. Musharraf replies them in America, No, it was not aid. it was payment for services and support.

Good article… but the fact is that the our politicians and other businessmen are probably making OODLES of money because of this war on terror.. Imagine how many containers go through Pakistan… what is in those containers??? I understand that other than Gas /Petrol and ammunition, the grocery is also transported to Afghanistan via Pakistan and some of it from Pakistan… Hence the shortage of certain food items and increase in food prices!!! Are we sure that some unscrupulous person is not smuggling our Petrol and Gas to Afghanistan!!! Why would our leaders want to halt this war…. they probably have never had it so good!!! Our leaders and the elite businessmen have vested interests… they are complicit with the US.. THEREFOR IF THE PUBLIC WANTS THINGS TO CHANGE THEN THEY HAVE TO STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND
MAKE THEMSELVES HEARD.
